Advanced Technology Center History and Support

VVC would like to introduce you to the Advanced Technology Center. Opened in 2008, this 46,620 square foot building was designed to meet the needs of college students through the use of technology and instructional support programs.

The Technology Center houses 20 multi-purpose computer labs equipped with state-of-the-art smart classroom technology that supports a wide variety of disciplines. Business, English, and Computer Design courses are just a few that are enhanced by technology located in the building. Specialized instructional support programs include the Writing Center, Math Success Center, Basic Skills Lab, ESL, Achievement Center, and Tutoring and Academic Support Center where individual tutoring is available. Student orientation sessions are also held in a designated classroom.

The main feature of the Technology Center is a computer mall that runs the full length of the building. This open mall area allows currently enrolled students to individually work on class assignments or projects and receive assistance with questions they may have. Students are able to access the Web, process documents, create animated movies, learn basic computer programs, and much more! The building is also equipped with wireless service and has a Help Desk in the southeast corner to assist students with registration, Canvas, and e-mail problems.

All students currently attending Victor Valley Community College are welcome to access these services provided at the Advanced Technology Center!
