Basic Skills

The Basic Skills program is housed in the Advanced Technology Center (Building # 21, room 170), located between the Art and Music buildings. Ten basic skills courses offer personalized and media based instruction in reading, writing and math. These are non credit, open entry/open exit courses held at the Advanced Technology Center. Success in these classes provides a solid foundation for further introductory college level courses. Basic skills credit / non-credit units do not apply to the Associate Degree. All students registered for Basic Skills Open Lab must attend one orientation meeting in the Basic Skills Lab located in building 21, room 170.
