A Message from the Chief
Welcome to Victor Valley College.
I would like to welcome all new and returning faculty, staff, and students to Victor Valley College. As members of the VVC campus community we all share the responsibility of maintaining a safe and healthy environment. Your safety while at Victor Valley College is the primary concern of the Campus Police Department.
The Victor Valley College Police Department operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, year round. There is always an officer on duty who will respond to calls for assistance. If you have questions or concerns please contact the Campus Police Department at (760) 245-4271 extension 2329, or come by the Police Department, located on lower campus at building 80 room 08 Monday thru Thursday 8:30 to 4:45 and Friday 7:30 to 3:45.

WHAT CAN I DO TO PROTECT MYSELF?
- Be alert!
- Be concerned at all times for your safety and the safety of others.
- Immediately report any suspicious activity and/or persons to the Campus Police.
- Walk and Park your Vehicle in lighted areas at night.
- Share any safety concerns you have with your Campus Police Department.
- Know emergency numbers and locations of the nearest telephone.
- Report all criminal activity you observe to the Campus Police Department immediately.
- If you feel you need an escort, please contact the Campus Police Department at 760-245-4271 X 2555 and an Officer will respond.

To minimize the number of criminal incidents, competent professionally trained officers,
students and members of the wider campus community participate in a number of shared
responsibilities to insure that the students and their possessions are protected as much as
possible.
Timely Warning Policy
On occasion you will see timely warning notices describing recent crime trends or dangerous
incidents. It is our policy to post these notices on the exterior entrance doors of all campus
buildings to provide our community with information about the incidents and crime prevention recommendations. Once all the relative information is received, these notices will typically be posted within 24 hours.
