Academic counseling services at the VRC are available on the days and times listed below. If you need to setup an appointment , stop by the VRC, call us at 760 245-4271, Ext 2245 or email us at va.gibill@vvc.edu. We will need your name, student ID number, contact phone number and type of appointment requested i.e. Zoom or In-person.

- Tuesday 8:30am - 6:00pm
- Wednesday 7:30am - 4:00pm
Transcripts
You will need to request official transcripts from all other colleges that you have attended to include your military transcripts (JST's). Request to have them sent to our Admissions & Records Department.
Other Counselors
You can also meet with any VVC Counselor, by visiting the main Counseling Department located in the Student Services One-Stop, Bldg. 23 or calling 760 245-4271, ext.2296 to make an appointment. Make sure to mention that you are using GIBill® benefits so they know to create a Veteran's Educational Plan (VSEP).
GIBILL® Education Plan
The VA requires that GIBill® students have a current Education plan, prepared by a VVC Counselor, in their VA File. The Education Plan must show the student’s declared program and have all prior credits evaluated.
