When applying to the CSU, UC, or private and out-of-state universities, it is important to be mindful of application deadlines. The VVC Transfer Center provides assistance to help you complete university applications via assistance workshops. For application deadlines, please see below.
The CSU and UC systems do not give priority to students who apply earlier in the application window. As long as you meet the deadline, your application will be reviewed equally with all other applicants. Some independent/private universities use "rolling admissions" which means that earlier applicants may have a better chance of being admitted. California State University (CSU)

Admissions Requirements:
- 60 transferable units (100 or 200 level classes at VVC)
- 2.0 minimum GPA to be considered (to be competitive, a GPA of a 3.0 or higher is recommended)
- Complete major preparation (visit www.assist.org for major prep coursework required by the CSU)
- Complete CSUGE or IGETC General Education Pattern. Within either pattern, complete the "Golden 4" general education classes (within 60 transferable units)
